You better wake up Washington!!

Tomorrow is a big day! The first elections since the Obama administration took over will occur on November the third and could signal the first signs of life from a nation that is finally waking up to the political fraud that is happening inside the beltway. This could not be illustrated better than the race that is heating up for an upstate New York congressional seat. The race started with two choices. The Democratic incumbant, Bill Ownes, and the "Republican" challenger, Dede Scozzafava. But then something interesting happened. A local businessman by the name of Doug Hoffman put his name on the ballot. He has no political carreer, but was unimpressed with the choices that were being offered. He saw no distinct difference between the Democratic and Republican options. The Republican party was quick to attack Hoffman and his small band of followers, saying that Scozzafava was the best option that Republican voters would have come election day. Hoffman remained positive and determined. After Hoffman secured the support of Sarah Palin and Fred Thompson, two Republican heavyweights, Scozzafava dropped out of the race. What she did next clearly illustrates the point that Hoffman was making when he put his name on the ballot. Scozzafava threw her support to the Democrat!! This was a clear example of what has happened in Washington. The Democratic and Republican parties have become one in the same. There is no distinction between the two anymore. Out of control spending is no longer solely a Democrat problem. The disease has entangled both parties. In most elections you have a choice between the socialist (the democratic nominee) or the progressive (the Republican nominee.) Luckily for the voters in New York, there is another option this year, the Conservative Doug Hoffman. If Hoffman manages to win a congressional seat in one of the most liberal states in the nation, it will signal, at last, that the American people have awoke from their twenty year hibernation and could be the birth of a new conservative third party in this country. Tomorrow we could finally have a third party that is made up of common sense people that want what is best for America. Pay close attention America, something big is happening tomorrow. For those currently serving in Washington, you better pay close attention as well. I have a feeling that your wake up call is less than twenty -four hours away!!

What a bargain!!!

America, this is urgent!! We must pass Obama-Pelosi Care now! We have 46 million uninsured citizens in our country and inaction would be a disaster. Lucky for us, the House has just introduced a bill that will solve the entire problem. However, before we allow them to pass this human saving program, let's look at a couple of numbers.
Those who support national health care will tell you that there are 46 million uninsured people living in our United States. Really? The truth of the matter, and the part that they won't tell you is the fact that 10 million of those people are illegal aliens and another 18 million have household incomes that exceed $50,000. Should we offer government health care to illegals? Should we really offer tax dollars to families making $50,000 per year? Of course not! So, the next time that you hear them talk about the 46 million uninsured, please know that they think you are an idiot and will believe anything they tell you. (The numbers used here are from the U.S Bureau of the census, income, poverty and health insurance coverage in the United States.)
After they make you believe that health insurance is out of reach for 46 million Americans, they will tell you that out of pocket expenses are too high under our current health care program. They will go on to say that national health care will fix that and will make health care affordable for all. Really? Lets look at the United States and compare out of pocket expenses with a few countries that already have a version of Obama- Pelosi care. The following percentages represent the out of pocket expenses for health care. Every country mentioned, with the exception of the United States has universal health care.
France: 11%, Germany: 11%, Ireland: 14%, United States: 15%, Canada: 16%, Denmark: 16%, Finland: 21%, Italy: 23%, Spain: 23%, Switzerland: 31%. Isn't that amazing? The United States, using one of the most outdated and unfair forms of health care, enjoys one of the lowest percentages of out of pocket medical expenses that the world has to offer. Isn't it amazing, the things that the free market will give you? I know that I can't wait until my next doctors bill. I would love to pay for 31% of the visit instead of 15%. Thanks Nancy!!
They will tell you that the bill comes in way under projected costs and will cost taxpayers less than 800 billion dollars. Wow, what a bargain. We better jump on a deal like that right away. Oh, ignore the fact that most government projections about costs are wrong. Like the projected cost of how much medicare would cost us by the year 1990. The government said it would cost us 12 billion dollars. By the time 1990 rolled around it was costing us 107 billion dollars. Well, at least they got the billion part right.
They lie to us about the number of uninsured, the fact that out of pocket expenses are out of control and the fact that we are getting too good a deal to pass up. The common theme? They lie. When are we going to hold them accountable for this? Stand up and tell your elected officials that we simply do not trust the United States government to run our health care. Although, they have done a great job with the H1N1 vaccine, haven't they?
