Does this guy understand his job description?

The point of this article is simple. I want an explanation. Sounds pretty simple doesn't it? I do not want to argue, here, just give two stories and ask for an explanation of President Obama's comments.
James Crowley, a police academy expert on racial profiling, responds to a home burglary call. Upon arrival at the house, Sergeant Crowley carefully walks up to the front door, thinking that he is on the doorstep of a house that is hiding a criminal. Did Sergeant Crowley drive to this house just because he needed something to pass the time? Of course not! He drove to this house and walked to the door because a neighbor called the police to report a burglary. Sergeant Crowley was honoring his call of duty. When Henry Gates showed up at the front door, Sergeant Crowley asked to see his identification. Gates refused. Sergeant Crowley asked Mr. Gates to step outside so that the two of them could talk. How did Gates respond? By telling the officer that he would "Talk to your mamma outside." Probably something that a rational human being would not say to a police officer. Crowley arrested Gates for disorderly conduct, part of which was because of the refusal to show his identification. Any normal person would agree that Sergeant Crowley did not do anything out of line. He responded to a call from a neighbor, walked to the door, was approached by an irrational man and was forced to arrest this person because of their eratic behavior. Mr. Crowley was doing his job. However, "President" Obama disagrees. He said, and I quote, ""I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry," he went on to say that "Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home." Mr. Obama, you see, jumped to a conclusion. He was not there the night of the incident, but he still felt the need to interject his own personal feelings and beliefs.
Story number two is a recent happening. Fort Hood Texas is the home of  an Army military base. Last week, an Army psychiatrist by the name of  Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire, killing 13 American soldiers and civilians and wounded 29 others. The shooter was a Muslim who had openly criticized the United States and had, according to the CIA, tried to reach out to individuals associted with Al Qaeda. Hasan expressed, openly, that he thought suicide bombers were justified in their actions. A mentally sane person would surely come to the conclusion that an American hating individual should not be allowed into any branch of the military. In fact, if you hate America, you should not even be allowed to stay in the country. Don't like it here? Leave! A sane American would draw the conclusion that trying to reach out to Al Qaeda just weeks before you shoot to death 13 people and wound 29 others on a military base would, in fact, be a terrorist attack. However, President Obama disagrees. Just the other day, President Obama said that American's should not "jump to conclusions." What? Are you kidding me? The commander in Chief, you know, the man IN CHARGE of the Army says that Americans should not jump to conclusions about an American hating murderer who killed 13 troops and nearly killed another 29? Is this really where we are at as a nation? Have we really reached a point where our leader, the President of the United States, can criticize a police sergeant for doing their job and even call the police department "stupid," but won't let the American people jump to the conclusion that says a man with hatred for America in their heart that kills 13 troops on a military base is a terrorist? Do we really value the feelings of those with violence against America as their goal above honest American's just trying to do their jobs? For this, I would like an educated explanation. I have a feeling that I will be waiting for awhile. To you I say, answer me please. To "President" Obama I say wow, you never cease to suprise me with your ignorant arrogance and stupidity. To the families of those who lost a loved one at Fort Hood last week, America mourns your loss. We are sorry for what you have endured and are sorry for the embarassment the President has bestowed upon you and America.
