No pain no gain

The nation is waking up, finally! Our two year hibernation as a nation is over and we are starting to get hungry again. The funny thing is that the country wants "CHANGE," again. Isn't it funny that Barack Obama's promise of change has made the nation hungrier for change than it has ever been? A recent Gallup poll, conducted from November the 5th through the 8th showed that forty-eight percent of those polled said that if the Congressional elections were held today they would vote for the Republican candidate. Forty-four percent said that they would vote for the Democrat. Taking it a step further, independent voters, the ones that usually decide an election, would choose the Republican over the Democrat by a fifty-two percent to thirty percent margin. A difference of twenty-two percent among independents! And, despite the billions of dollars that Obama has wasted on the economy, the number one reason for the strong Republican support? The economy! Why is the Republican support such a positive sign this far from the elections? A quick look at last years poll reveals the reason for optimism. Last April, the same poll revealed that the Democrats enjoyed a thirteen point lead over the Republicans during the House congressional elections. The winds of change are blowing hard, America, and we must capitalize on it. We must not sit back on our laurels and enjoy what seems to be an imminent victory. Instead, we must forge ahead and continue to expose the corrupt, socialist fraud that has hijacked our nation. We must continue to educate our friends, family and neighbors to make sure that this type of hysteria does not happen again. We must, never again, accept the fact that certain media outlets do not require answers to questions that must be asked prior to the American people voting for a politician. Barack Obama promised us change, and in doing so, he did not lie. He is trying to change the country alright, but thank God the American people are largely resisting the change. I think, maybe naively, that the American people have realized the change that they need. It's not a change of our fundamental beliefs or ideology, but rather a change of the lunatics that are running our country. We have paid a price for our ignorance of the past several years. In fact, we may pay an even bigger price before the next election cycle rolls around. But, as the old saying goes, no pain no gain, right? A long term conservative movement that brings our country back to where the founders intended it to be would be well worth the circus that we have had to endure for the past year! When the 2010 congressional elections roll around, if all goes as planned, we will all owe the Obama- Pelosi extreme regime a genuine thank you for awaking the American people. Although we, as a nation, may not have the greenest grass in the neighborhood, it is still the yard with the least amount of dog crap in it!
