Card Check

If you have heard of card check, you should be angry. If you have not heard of card check, you probably voted for soon to be President Obama. For those of you who have not heard of the soon to be proposed law, let me explain. Under the current law that deals with labor unions getting voted into a company or corporation, if a majority of the employees of said company sign a union card, then the company must hold a secret ballot election to determine whether or not a union will be allowed to represent that companies workers. Although I strongly disagree with the presence of unions in most instances, the current law seems pretty fair. Every employee would be allowed to vote during the secret election and the voice of the majority would be the law of the land. At least within the walls of that business. Under a new law that has the support of many Democrats, including the aforementioned Barrack Hussein Obama, once a majority of employees sign the initial union card, that is it. Your company has instantly entered into negotiations with the labor union. There is no secret ballot election. If you were not at work on the day the cards were signed, you have no dog in the fight. Your co-workers have spoken for you. It is hard to believe that in our country, one that Mr. Obama wants to make as equal as possible, some people's voices and opinions will not matter when it comes to unionizing America. When a country fails to listen to its citizenry, we call it a dictatorship. When President Obama advocates not giving all people a say in what happens within their place of employment, we call it change. When a country decides to ignore voting tradition, we call them rogue. When President Obama decides to ignore the principle of voting, we call it reform. If you knew about this law that is on horizon and voted for Barrack anyway, what were you thinking? If you did not know about this law and you voted for Barrack, shame on you!

Dear President Elect Obama

It's over my friends. The long months of debates, campaigns and family arguments has come to an end. John McCain came up just a little short in his campaign, and soon to be President Obama, you have no idea how hard that was for me to say, has emerged with victory. Once the bitterness and anger subsides, I will look to President Obama for a strong sense of leadership in our countries troubling times. The economy, the war and the belief of personal entitlements are issues that we should all be watching very closely. We cannot allow our country to fall prey to the idea that government should be there with a handout whenever we need it. We must learn to sacrafice for what we want out of life and must be willing to work long and hard for what we desire. Do not let the government talk you in to becoming one of it's "customers." We are too good and have too much pride in ourselves to let that happen. Please, do not fall into the trap that will be laid out in front of you. To those of you who make over 150,000 dollars, or whatever that number should happen to be, I am sorry. I do not want your money, and quite frankly, nobody but yourself deserves the money you have earned. Mr. Obama will most likely govern to the far left, as he has done throughout his time in office. It is up to us to make sure that we govern our lives in the most conservative of manner. We must tighten the belt a little bit more to make sure that the conservative nature of our country does not get lost in this liberal leaning circus. We must dig a little deeper within ourselves to ensure that our children are raised knowing that the only way to get what you want is to work as hard as you possibly can. We will win this battle, as long as we continue to teach our children the moral and ethical standards that our country was founded on. Hard work, pride, dedication, and a burning desire to succeed in life. Mr. Obama's philosophy may force us to change the way that we collect and redistribute our tax dollars, but he cannot force us to change the way we look at life, and he certainly cannot force us to change the way we raise our children. Hard work, pride, dedication and a burning desire to succeed in life.

What does my vote say to America?

Well, here we go. All of us will be heading to the polls in two short days. The task is easy enough once we get into that quaint, little booth. Vote for Senator McCain or vote for Senator Obama. Seems simple enough, right? Well, while the actual task of voting may be very simple, the impact of that vote you are casting is monsterous in size. Here is what a vote for McCain and a vote for Obama could bring with it.
If you vote for Senator McCain, here is what you are saying.....
I (Insert name here), do not think that taxes should be raised on any American at this time. The economy is horrible, and I do not think that Americans can afford to bring home less of their paycheck, no matter their income. I believe that the war on terror is a just cause. I realize that this war is not about me or about my generation. Instead, the war on terror is about making the world a more just place than it is right now. The war on terror, I hope, will provide a future for generations down the line in which terrorism and genocide are rare instead of the news of the evening. I believe that saying the troops are air raiding innocent villages is unpatriotic and ignorant. I believe that granting more access to our places of employment to labor unions is a dangerous road that we cannot afford to travel. If people want a union to represent their employment, they should be allowed to vote on it, but taking away the right to vote on a union is very undemocratic. I believe that if Joe the roofer (I had to add my own twist) wants a new car, then Joe should have to get a job that pays him enough to buy the car. I do not think that Americans should be given a handout. I work hard for my money and when we redistribute the wealth, you are taking away money from myself, my spouse and my children. As cold as this may sound, I do not go to work for the benefit of the family next door. I go to work so that the next time it rains outside, my family doesn't have to don the raincoats that hang in our closet. I go to work to pay for my roof and I like my roof. It keeps me dry. If Joe gets wet when it rains outside then maybe Joe could go to a public building, complete tasks in that building, and get a piece of paper with his name printed at the top. Joe could then take that piece of paper to a bank, where they will actually give him American dollars that he could spend buying or renting a roof. I believe that Americans should have something to strive for and believe that the people you associate with say a lot about the type of person you are. I believe that unborn fetuses should be protected under law.  I do agree that everybody should have a choice when it comes to having a child. You should be able to choose whether or not to have sex. How is that for pro choice?  Oh, wait, Americans do have that choice. Never mind. And finally, I believe that if you sit and listen to a preacher who continually uses the phrase GD America, and you do nothing to dispute his use of the phrase, then you are a coward. And Americans do not want a coward runnig the country.
If you vote for Senator Obama, here is what you are telling America.....
I (Insert name here) believe that all Americans should have equal access to all things in life. I believe that a person who works sixty hours a week and a person who works twelve hours a week should be able to afford the same things in life. After all, why should my neighbor get to drive around in a new car when I have to take the bus to my part time job? I believe that big corporations are evil. After all, they have all the money and I think that I deserve some of the money they have made by being genius business people. I believe that the government should be even bigger and that illegal aliens should be given drivers liceneses. After all, if they cannot drive, then how are they going to get to their job? You know, the job that they stole from someone who is in the country legally. I believe that just because somebody says GD America that they probably did not mean it. Those crazy preachers. I believe that the war is unjust and that America should have to get permission from the world community before we invade another country. Just think if we had asked Iraq if we could invade Afghanistan. We could have avioded this entire debacle. Silly President Bush. Duh! I believe that abortion should be legal under all circumstances. I stand by the man who voted no to the law that would make it illegal to refuse medical attention to an infant born as the result of a failed abortion.  And last, but not least, I think that Senator Obama didn't really mean it when he said that American troops were air raiding innocent villages, said paying taxes was patriotic, said he would meet with leaders of rogue nations without preconditions, launched his political carrer in the living room of Bill Ayers, said people making 250,000 dollars a year were rich or when he said he did not know that his aunt was in the country illegally. He didn't mean all that stuff did he? Can I have another ballot please?

Privatization

I was reading a political article today when I stumbled across this quote from Senator Obama; "If Senator McCain is elected, 100 million Americans will not get a tax cut ... your health care benefits will get taxed for the first time in history ... we'll have another president who wants to privatize part of your Social Security." I could debate the factual accuracy of the first two points, but quite frankly, I am tired of arguing about things I know are not true. The real beauty in this quote happens to be the last part . If John McCain is elected, we will have a president that wants to privatize social security. Now, for you anti corporate democrats who have probably already deleted this message from your inbox, let me explain the word privatize. The definition may be a bit confusing to you, but I will do my best to explain. Here it goes, the laymans definition to privatize. Let you decide how to invest your social security money. Wow. Hopefully you sat down before you read this and if you did not, hopefully you didn't hit your head when you passed out from all the fear. Yes, Mr. Obama, we know we are too stupid, as American citizens, to invest our own money wisely. The federal government is way smarter than me is. I just now got the hang of securing my velcro shoes, sir. Please won't you help me spend my money. I know I sound like I have just gone over the edge because of this election, and truth be told, I probably have. But we are letting Obama treat us like we are a bunch of stupid, ignorant people. He has a law degree, which obviously puts him way above us. The liberals continue to feed his ego, and will do so again tonight by tuning in to his Ron Popeil like infomercial. "Just set it and forget it." Or, in the context of Obama's tax plan, "Just send it and forget it." The only thing that would make the infomercial worth watching is if they had Ron Popeil in the background using his patented spray on hair. Now that would be worth my thirty minutes. Any way, back to social security. I want to quote a letter I received from Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana, in response to a letter I had written him about my fears of the social security system. I expressed the fact that workers of my generation will not receive social security unless we fix it. All the money will be gone by the time we retire.  Here is what he wrote back to me. "Currently, three wage earners pay Social Security taxes to fund the benefits for every one retiree. However, by 2030, there will be only two wage earners per retiree." He continues by saying the current Social Security system we have in place "......is projected to be solvent through 2041." In other words, after 2041, no Social Security fund. Chalk another one up for Mr. Obama. I know most of you have some sort of retirement program already set up and would venture to bet that most of you will have funds that will be solvent well past 2041. As citizens, we are smarter than the government when it comes to investing our own money. It's time to step up and quit buying into this "government knows best" philosophy. Have some pride in your self and be ready to make decisions for your own future. Next time you think you want more government involvement in our lives, stop by the local drivers license bureau and wait in line to get a new license. Just think. In a couple of years, if Obama is elected, that drivers license bureau could be the hospital waiting room. Scary, huh?

"Let The Government Decide"

I was having a conversation with a liberal leaning aquantance, whose name I will not disclose for my own safety. We were discussing people receiving government aid who probably do not need the assistance. They are the people who are perfectly capable of working a forty hour work week, but because Uncle Sam sends them a check every month, they decide instead to stay at home and "keep the house clean." They provide nothing to society because our United States government has decided that they are not capable of working. In some cases, I will admit, aid is necessary. There are those people who need financial help and are not capable of working. To those people, I have no problem with the government sending them assistance. However, there are just as many people who are taking advantage of our system full of loopholes. My Democratic aquantaince told me not to be bitter about those who receive government aid when they do not need it, and to simply "Let the government decided if a person needs it or not." Well, the problem with that theory is that we have let the government make that decision year after year and the dishonest people are still receiving checks. It is time to make a decision as a country. We have got to get back to the way it used to be. Back to the time when nothing was free. If you are capable of working thirty hours a week, but do not work forty because that would mean you would not get your monthly check from the government, then you should not be getting a check from the government at all. If you are getting a check for being "disabled," but you are able to lift a beer can to your mouth every night, I'm sure you could find some job, somewhere, that would pay you for your newfound energy. The system is flawed and we, as citizens, are letting this corruption of the system happen. It is because of these dishonest people that the people who actually need government aid have to jump through hoops to get it. It is simply not fair. But back to my conversation the other night. The "Let the government dicide....." theory leaves out one very important fact. As citizens of this great country, we the people are the government. They work for us. We hire them. It is not the other way around. We do not work for the government. If you rely on big government you will pay big in the end. So many people think that they are powerless when it comes to the government, and that is why we get our country into so many unfavorable positions. We have forgotten the first three words to the Constitution of the United States of America, We The People. The government is made up of all of us. Tell them what you think and do not be afraid to speak your mind. That is our power over the government. If we do not like what they are doing, we can elect a new leader or a new congress. If we continue to let the government function without saying what is on our minds, do we actually expect them to change the way they are doing things? If we assume that they will, we are in for a big suprise. Hopefully, when we wake up as a nation and figure out that we have the power to change things we do not think is right, it is not too late!

Biden Angered Over "Tough" Questions

Joe Biden became angered over what he believed to be tough questions during an interview by WFTV, a television station out of Orlando Florida. During the interview, Barbara West, the stations representative, quoted Karl Marx. She asked Biden whether Obama was comparable to Karl Marx as she read a quote from Marx which reads, "From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs." In other words, take from those who have and give to those who do not have. Spread the wealth, if you will. Sounds pretty familiar, doesn't it? If you have heard a speech from Obama it should. That is exactly what Obama has been preaching for the past several months. Spread the wealth. Senator Biden asked the interviewer if she was asking a real question. He seemed perplexed that someone in the media would be asking a liberal politician such a difficult question. It is ok to ask questions about how much Sarah Palin's outfit costs, but we cannot ask comparable questions in regards to Senator Obama's stance on issues that will affect Americans if he should be elected to the highest office in the land. An obvious double standard. The Obama camp immediately put out a statement saying that the WFTV news station would not be granted any more interview time with the campaign and imediately canceled an interview that was scheduled between WFTV and Senator Biden's wife. Makes you wonder what they will do if they are actually elected. Will we, as citizens, be able to ask tough questions of an Obama - Biden white house or will they simply deny us access to our leaders if we do ask tough questions? Kind of scary if you stop and think about it. This is a Presidential election for crying out loud. Our media should be allowed to ask tough questions of our politicians. That is what makes our country great. The American people have to answer to their bosses just as our politicans should have to answer to their bosses, the American people. Simply cutting off those who ask the tough questions will only lead to more propoganda on behalf of the media and will do nothing to correct our corrupt government. Biden was also asked whether or not he was embarassed by the recent allegations of voter registration fraud, in regards to ACORN. He replied by saying that the Obama campaign has not paid ACORN one cent to register a single voter. Is that the case? In fact, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Obama campaign donated 800,000 dollars to an ACORN subsidary. Now, I am sure that the Obama campaign did not give the money to ACORN and tell them to register fraudulent voters, but that would be like giving a crack head 100 dollars and not expecting them to spend it on crack. Wake up people. The Democratic party is sinking to new lows, and we are actually thinking about giving them four years in the White House! You have to be kidding me! The sad part is this. Tomorrow, when you turn on your television, I would venture to say that you will hear more about Sarah Palin's wardrobe than you will about Biden's interview, the Obama camp basically censoring what we hear from them and about Obama's donation to a radical group we like to call ACORN. What is that saying my dad used to say to me when I was a kid? I think it was something like "The ACORN doesn't fall far from the tree."

Mark Joe Biden's Words

I could not believe my ears when Joe Biden was tape recorded saying that America would be faced with a "generated crisis" early on in an Obama Presidency that would be generated to test the resolve of the new president. Was this quote supposed to make Americans more comfortable with the idea of an Obama presidency? The quote comes from Joe Biden, who during the Democratic primary season was saying that Obama lacked the experience to handle foreign crisis and would even be dangerous as a president. If you need the proof of this, read the transcript from the democratic debates that were held earlier this year. You will be interested to read what Biden had to say about Obama just a few short months ago.  Now he is promising that the cirsis Obama would not be experienced enough to handle will happen early in the Obama administration. Makes you feel good doesn't it? I will say this for Biden. I agree with him. We will face another possible attack under Obama, simply for the fact that the Democratic stance on terrorism is so weak. We ignored the truth during the Clinton years (read my blog Change....We've Tried This Before), so why would four years of Obama be any different? They wouldn't. I have confidence that under a McCain - Palin administration, the terrorists would know who they were dealing with and would be walking on thin ice when it came to the security of our country. McCain gets it, and to my surprise last night, so does Joe Biden. He knows what would happen and why it would happen. He said it himself. Decide for yourself on election day. Vote for the man that will reopen the door for terrorist business or vote for the man who will keep the door shut for good!!!

Sharing the Wealth

We heard both candidates talk about it dozens of times during last nights debate. Sharing the wealth. Letting the governement decide whether or not you make too much money, and if they think you do, taking some from you and giving to your neighbor. Are you kidding me? Has our country really gotten to this point, and if so, why in the world did we let it? Taking money from people who have worked hard for their current position in society and giving to people who do not work is not the way to go. By taking this approach to government, we are promoting laziness and a "the world owes me" attitude. Why would it be worth it to get ahead? You would be waking up every morning to go to work not only for yourself and your own family, but also for the unemployed alcoholic that lives down the street. Great idea Barack. Just a little sidenote that I heard on television last night; Joe Biden is  a huge supporter of Obama's income redistribution. Senator Biden made 2.5 million dollars last year and only gave 3600 dollars to charity. Sounds like a man who cares about the poor doesn't it? They care alright, at least when they're caring with your money!

National Health Care

Well friends, the final presidential debate will take place this Wednesday night. Get ready for another round of back and forth between Obama and McCain. McCain will continue to show wisdom and courage when it comes to national security and Obama will continue to make promises of national health care. Oh what a great country we will be when everyone will have health care, but only those who work will pay for the health care. That's fair, right? Most of us have had "national" health care at some point. When we lived with our parents, they gave us an allowance, paid for our housing and paid for our health care. How many of us would want to move back in with our parents for the free health care? I love my parents dearly, but moving back in with them would cause my dad's beard to get greyer, my mom to take more cigarette breaks in the garage and myself to simply sit back and watch television while basking in the glory of my newly found free health care. That would be the life man!! And then, reality would set in. I would soon realize that I no longer had a job, my mom and dad were telling me when to be home and my dad was starting to lose his hair from his new debt of paying my health care. My parents would have assumed the role of the government under Barack Obama. They would, in essence, own my health. National Health Care is not a good idea friends. The only exception would be those citizens who are under the age of eighteen with parents that do not work. After your eighteenth birthday,  you're on your own. If you really want everybody to have health care, then donate to charity. If you believe it's such a good idea, walk over to your neighbors house and knock on the door. When they answer, tell them that you want to start paying their health insurance bill. I'm sure they will thank you numerous times and you can go home knowing that you have done your part to ensure that one more household in the United States will be going to bed with health care. How many people that believe national health care is a good idea actually donate to charity? Ask them. After they go off on a ten minute tangent on why we never should have invaded Iraq, you will be suprised to find that many of them have never written one charitable check in their lives. They say that everybody deserves it, but when it comes to putting their money where their mouths are, the checkbook stays in the back pocket. Amazing isn't it? Saying one thing but doing something that totally goes against what you are preaching! Sounds like someone I will see on tv this Wednesday debating Senator McCain.

The American People Should Demand More

Well, here we go again. Another news cycle dominated by the "Did Sarah Palin have a right to make the Alaskan police chief fire her ex brother in law" story. It absolutely baffles me that more Americans know about Sarah Palin firing her ex brother in law than know about Obama hanging out with Bill Ayers, the self described terrorist. More Americans know about Sarah Palin's seventeen year old daughter being pregnant than know about Mr. Obama saying that American troops were air raiding innocent villages, killing innocent people. More people seem to know and care about Sarah Palin's personal life than know or care about Obama's professional ignorance regarding foreign policy. At least that's what the media would like you to think. Believe it or not, there are channels out there that talk about the real news in this country. And if you cannot find the right channels, you could always pick up a neutral newspaper or magazine. The problem is, as Americans, we expect to be spoon fed all of our news. And to make it worse, we think that "If they say it on the news, than it must be true." Man are we wrong. I challenge you to sit through just ten minutes of Keith Olberman on MSNBC without throwing up your dinner. Can't be done. Try watching CNN for more than thirty minutes. You know, the channel with fifteen liberal talking heads and one conservative persona that they shove clear over to the side of the screen so you can see just past the left earlobe. It's crazy. But worse than it being crazy is that we, as American citizens have let it happen. I have sent several emails to MSNBC asking them to be more diverse with  their commentary and get the same automated response each time. That's fine. I'll just quit watching. And, the point is, if we all quit watching, they'll have to act on our demands. My argument is not that all news channels should be conservative channels. My point is that all news channels should have a balance of liberalism and conservatism mixed together. Let the American people decide what they think is right and wrong. Do not just spoon feed us one point of view. But in the end, if things do not change, there will always be sportscenter every night at ten.

McCain / Obama

Issue after issue has been discussed during this election cycle and one thing is really disturbing to me. The issue of national security seems to have slipped everyone's mind. It was only eight years ago that the world as we know it was changed in a very drastic way. Terrorism became all too real for us as Americans. They had made it into our own backyard. The country, back in 2000, rallied around President Bush and our troops and vowed to destroy the very terrorist organizations that were responsible. Fast forward to this years election and you would think that 9-11 never happened. Senator Obama stumbles over every foreign policy question that is asked, so guess what? The media stops asking him those types of questions. Senator McCain stumbles over every economic question that is asked, so guess what? The media creates newer economic questions on a daily basis. The bottom line is so easy to read that is is scary more Americans don't seem to realize it. If terrorists rear their ugly heads in our backyard again, the economy means nothing. Your bank account means nothing. Your mortgage means nothing. Now, don't get me wrong. The economy is very important and drastic steps must be taken to make sure we correct the problem. However, national security is and always will be more impotant. John McCain has been there, my friends. He knows the might of the military and knows what it is like to sacrafice for the country. I pray to God that the American people decide to give him another chance to serve our country. This time as the President of the United States!

Change.......we've tried this before.......

Barack Obama. Good speaker, good motivator, good father and husband. But new ideas about how to run the government? I do not think so.
On the front lines in the battle with terrorists? Barack wants to negotiate instead of standing up for our country. We did that under President Clinton. We were never proactive against our enemies and tried to talk them down time and time again. We gave Saddam Hussein timeline after generic timeline to comply with the UN inspectors. Saddam failed to comply, so we came up with another timeline, or else. Or else what? More negotiation? Man, I bet he was terrified!! We stood by and watched Osama Bin Laden produce tape after tape of hate speech and did nothing to quell his anti American hatred. Some say it worked, I say look again. The first bombing of the World Trade Towers happened under President Clinton. The bombing of the USS Cole happened under President Clinton. The bombings of the US embassies in Africa happened under President Clinton. Hundreds of American lives were lost to terrorism under President Clinton, and the average American would be hard pressed to name an anti terrorist campaign that took place during the Clinton years. Negotiating with terrorist does not work and it is certainly not a new idea. Change? Try again.
Barack wants to change the way that major corporations "run the government." Really? Is that why he takes millions of dollars in contributions from labor unions? This may come as a news flash to many, but labor unions are no longer in it for the good of American workers. They, in a sense, are a business of their own. Making money off the American workers. If  Barack thinks that the American workers need someone to speak for them, I think he has the wrong impression of America. That is the problem with the government today. They think the American citizens don't know what they want. As American citizens, we tend to tell everyone what we think, no matter if they want to listen or not. Change? Try again.
Barack wants to raise the tax rate on the top 5 percent of wage earners and on major corporations. Keep in mind that we already have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. This is also where I get a bit confused. Lets do some straight talk math here. Put unions in charge of the workers. This would probablty increase wages to some workers. Good for the worker. Increase the tax rate of the top 5 percent of wage earners, you know, to pay for the free health care of Americans. Good for ninety five percent of the population. Raise the corporate tax rate, making it even more enticing for business to move overseas where the tax rate is much lower and much more condusive to turning a profit. All of a sudden that raise and health care you were going to get are gone because your place of employment has decided to leave the United States in the name of turning a higher profit somewhere else. It's as if Barack doesn't really understand how the world works. Kind of scary if you ask me.
Negotiate with terrorist. Change from the way we currently do it? Yes. Good change? No
Increase union activity among American workers. Change? Yes. Good change? No
Increase the tax rate of 95 percent of wage earners and on corporations. Change? Yes. Good change? No. Fair change? Absolutely not.
I am not going to sit here and argue about the effectiveness of George W. Bush as a president, but I will make one small observation. President Bush has kept us safe against terrorists attacks for eight years now. Granted, the economy may not be the best we have ever had, but the safety of my family and friends takes precedent over the fact that I may not have made millions in the stock market yet. And that, my friends, is something that I do not want to change!!!

Obama's Idea of Change

We hear him talk about it every time he gives a speech. We hear it on the news, in the newpaper and on the radio. Barack Obama wants to change the world and the way we run our political system in America. What does he plan to change, exactly? That ,we have not received a clear explination on. However, by delving into a few remarkable stories in his past, we can begin to connect the dots.
Mr Obama, it has been reported, has had strong personal ties to a Mr. William Ayers. Mr.Ayers is a self described terrorist and is a member of the teaching community at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Bill Ayers has been quoted as commenting about the 1973 bombing of the Pentagon " Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon. The sky was blue. The birds were signing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them." Unbelievable! Even more unbelievable is the fact that Mr. Obama has not only accepted politcal donations from Bill Ayers but has also visited his house on more than one occassion. He has time to visit Mr. Ayers, albeit a few years ago, but cannot manage to make a vote of yes or no in the United States Senate, instead opting to vote present on many of his votes. Present, you know, like yes, I have been present at the home of a self described terrorist.
Another story that gives us a glimpse into the mind of Barack is the recent attack he sent in the direction of Sarah Palin. Governor Palin, as we hve heard replay several times was quoted at the Republican National Convention that the only difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull was lipstick. Barack responded just today by saying, and I quote, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig." Governor Palin is a pig? Has she ever been in the house of a terrorist? Has she ever voted present? Has she degraded American citizens behind their backs? No, no and no. All she has done is breathe a breath offresh air into the Republican party and inspire many undecided voters that the McCain - Palin ticket is the most noble ticket in this years campaign. She has and will continue to push our Republican party into the future and will help deliver the real change that America is looking for. As for Barack's idea of change? Well, maybe if he is elected, we will have self described terrorists sittig in positions of power within our government. Maybe it will be acceptable to call women pigs. Maybe our elected officials will find it acceptable to bad mouth us behind their backs. That, my friends, is change we do not want. Sorry Mr. Obama, if you were the only candidate on the ballot, I think we would have to vote present.

Obama and his pastor

Absolutely unacceptable! That is how I would describe the inaction on Senator Obama's part when it come to the comments of his pastor. I fully agree with Obama on one point. He is not to blame for what Pastor Wright has and will say. However, attending a church for twenty years that is led by a pastor that says America is to blame for 9-11, uses GD America as if to say our country is in the wrong, and plays the race card to generate support from his congregation, for that Mr Obama is to blame. At any point, Obama could have gotten up and left the church, never to come back. At any point, Obama could have spoken up during the church service to reprimand pastor Wright for his outrageous comments. At any point, Mr. Obama could have had conversation with pastor Wright about his uncalled for comments. Mr. Obama, at any point during his attendance at this anti-American church, could have done any of these things to voice his displeasure with the services message. However, Mr. Obama decided to say or do nothing, which tells me that he did not disagree with anything the pastor was saying. If I was attending a church that spread a message I was uncomfortable with or disagreed with, I would do one of two things. I would either speak up during the service to voice my displeasure or I would never come back to that particular church. Listening to an anti American, racist speach one Sunday and then bringing your family back to that same church the very next Sunday says only one thing to the pastor of that church and it congregation; I agree with you message Mr. Pastor. I agree with your activities congregation. Mr. Obama has shown a great deal of immaturity and an inside glimpse into his appeasement ways. Say nothing, do nothing and anger nobody. This is the democratic party in its purest form. Do nothing, say nothing, and don't anger anybody. Even if it means agreeing with unjust, unfair and downright cruel behavior.

Taxes

Taxes. Don't we all love them?? Every working American has to pay them, but where does our money go? The spending habits of our United States government is out of control, and there seems to be no accountability. Thousands of dollars paid to a social security system that likely will not be there when we retire. Millions of dollars of funding for a bridge to nowhere. I am serious, google it. The federal government needs to be held accountable when it comes to spending our tax dollars. The United States budget should be posted on the web, on a site that will let you search for spending by using keywords. For example, if you wanted to see how much the government was spending on cancer research, you could type cancer research into the keyword box. This would put the spending plans of OUR governemtn at the finger tips of nearly every American that is interested. The system that we have allowed to perpetuate itself is absolutely ridiculous. We should be ashamed of ourselves, as American citizens, that we have let it happen. That said, we must now demand that it stop! Spending should be made public knowledge, via the internet! Politicans that introduce outrageous spending bills should have to stand before the United States citizenry and explain to us why we need a bridge to nowhere. It seems to me that the United States government is the only one using that bridge, and they are driving our country on the only path available.....to nowhere!!!
